
April Purcell is Director, Clinical Operations at Arialys Therapeutics, where she leads the execution of international clinical trials supporting early and mid-stage development in anti-NMDA receptor encephalitis and related neuropsychiatric disease. She brings more than 20 years of experience across Phases 1–3 clinical research and drug development. Her experience includes leading multi-site clinical trials across the United States, Europe, Australia, South America, Canada, and Asia. She has responsibility for clinical operations execution, including vendor and CRO oversight, program-level decision making, regulatory alignment, and site execution. Prior to joining Arialys, April was a consultant with Halloran Consulting Group, where she supported early-stage biotech and pharmaceutical companies and led and oversaw clinical programs and study execution, including protocol development and resolution of operational and study-level challenges. She previously led Western Clinical Research, where she was responsible for overall company operations and execution of multi-site clinical trials across a range of therapeutic areas. April holds a Master of Science from Johns Hopkins University and a postgraduate certificate in clinical trial design and management from University of California, San Diego.
